After a period of slow fishing we had a good day again !
We saw way more skippies then the last days today and at 3 pm we got a doubleheader of blue marlin on !
I couldn´t believe it after all these days of riding around .
One fish took the Krakatao but just after Manfred got to the chair the fish came off.
Now it was Franz´s time who grabed the rod with the hawaian breakfast and this 700 pound lady stayed connected and put up a great show of jumps !

Franz sendet beste Grüße an "Fuggi" !
As we had the fish at the boat another marlin of simillar size followed it and stayed very close until we released her friend. For shure we had a lure out imidiately but no response.
In the evening we had another bite on the Hawaian breakfast but we never hooked the 500+ pound fish . After it´s second billswipe it followed the boat for a while but no more bites.

Welcome to Ascension Fishing Charters

Since 2007 the company is owned by Albrecht (Albi) Roth.

Ascension Island, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, is a new destination for sport fishermen.

For many years there has been a 200 mile exclusion zone around the Island. As a result the seas around Ascension are teaming with fish. Tales told by sailors who have stopped there on their way across the ocean bare this out. They say that anything thrown into the water is immediately attacked voraciously by huge schools of fish. The local fishermen, in open boats with outboard engines do not venture much more than 2 miles off shore. They fish for skipjacks and other fish just big enough to feed the family and complain that they lose many catches to large predators such as tuna and billfish that take their catch as they reel them in.

We are proud to offer you the opportunity to share the adventure with Ascension Fishing Charters.
